Nate was born and raised here in Mississippi. He has always been a fan of music. When other kids were outside playing or inside watching cartoons, he was listening to the radio and singing along with the songs. For fun, he would pop a CD in his CD player and talk over the intro of songs pretending he was on the radio. He knew when he was eleven years old that he wanted to be on the radio. In 1995, at the age of 16, Nate was listening to a radio station one night (Kapitol Kountry 98.7) and called to introduce a song on the station's countdown. He did it perfectly and the DJ asked him if he had ever thought about being on the radio. Nate was invited to visit the station and then started spending every free moment he had around the radio station befriending everyone he could until finally, they had to hire him or kick him out. They hired him (at the time, the youngest DJ in Mississippi) and little did he know how huge of an impact he would have on the lives of thousands of people (we made that part up).  Nate still enjoys the power of radio as part of V 93.5.

Nate is still getting to know Meridian, but is loving every minute of it. Someday he will finally get married and stop talking about it, but for now, he will continue to save his pennies for the little black box.
